Why we are here
We are a small Biblical Christian Discernment Ministry, born of the need to inform and discuss of local public ministries in the Hudson Valley that claim that they follow Yeshua (Jesus) and act contrary to the values of Biblical Christianity. We are not leaders in the church, but “sheep” that believe that accountability of leadership and self proclaimed leadership is necessary for the church to remain a force of good in today’s society, now more than ever. We believe that unrepentant sin of leadership is blight on the Gospel of Yeshua (Jesus). We believe that personal behavior/character and creeping false doctrine goes to directly denigrating Ministerial Integrity and thus the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe that it is time for truth where we expose the leaders who have contempt for God’s word and show no fear of the Lord. We believe it is our responsibility from within the body of Christ to do so.
The American Evangelicals are experiencing more corruption today than at any other time in our history. We can say no longer that we hold ourselves to higher standards and criticize liberal Protestantism for what is happening during our watch on the wall. Jesus attacked false religion and hypocrisy of religious leaders publically more than any other iniquity in His public ministry. We believe this is right if we can’t convince privately to turn as Matthew 18:15-17 and Luke 17:3 suggests. More and more we ignore God’s doctrine presented to the church in the 1st century and has turned to man’s doctrine with all of the sin it drags into the local church organization with it. Truth is becoming a dwindling commodity within the local church. With that so is love. Yehua is Truth. Yeshua (Jesus) is Love. We are just as guilty as we exclaim the “world”.
1 John 3:18 Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth.
“LOVE is a supreme ethic. TRUTH is a supreme point of judgment. And if you lose either of them; you lose God.” – Ravi Zacharias
We take a stand against spiritual abuse. We believe that leaders and self proclaimed leaders should be held to a higher standard Biblically. We take a stand against violence and criminal actions that become increasingly part of the church because the church protects sin. We take a stand against the beating of the sheep who take a stand against this abuse because they recognize Jesus as their King rather than the false doctrine and corruption of the Church they love. The church is being defined as the body of true believers in the Bible. We recognize that small sin unchecked and unrepentant will grow more and infect the whole body of the local church.
Isaiah 5:23 Woe to those who justify the wicked with a bribe and take away the righteousness of the ones who are right! (NASB)
A pastor can use his or her pulpit to defend himself against evil such as slander and does it quite readily. And so does Ministry leaders. But a sheep that is harmed doesn’t have that. In churches today where they have two tier or more levels created of “worthy” Christians it causes an abomination of idolatry. It creates an ungodly system that tells the sheep he is worth less in the eyes of the Lord. That is not Christianity. Leaders have a moral and ethical duty to look out for his and her sheep before they look out for their own interests. God fearing men and woman in increasing numbers in the Evangelical Church in America are being mistreated and see what is happening without a voice and could lose their fellowship if they say anything.
Galatians 2:6 But from those who were of high reputation (what they were makes no difference to me; God shows no partiality)—well, those who were of reputation contributed nothing to me.
1 Timothy 5:20 those who continue in sin, rebuke in the presence of all, so that the rest also will be fearful of sinning. (NASB)
We believe in Grace, but we don’t believe in hiding unrepentant sin. We believe in true repentance, but we don’t believe in phony and contrived apologies. We believe that in the restitution of those who are harmed as best as it can be done. We don’t believe in revenge, but we believe in accountability. We believe in the healing of the harmed and hurt is accomplished by true repentance of the offender, if the offender is a true follower of Jesus Christ. We believe in restoration of the offender, but only after true reconciliation achieved with Yahwah and the harmed brothers and sisters. We believe that if the offender really loves God, he or she will go through the process to show love for the brethren. We believe that repentance to God means an active repentance to the one(s) you sin against or it is not of the heart or God. We believe that the offender is still in his or her sin without such a turning.
We are a “sheep” run discernment ministry dealing with specific cases to protect and lift up abused sheep. We are encouraging the abused so that they do indeed have a voice, they are loved by Jesus and that truth matters. That God is not of works, but of grace. Our love is for Yeshua and His doctrine, not the false doctrine of man. You may take as per joy to be persecuted for the sake of the Glory of the Kingdom from outside the church. But that is an abomination to the Lord from within the Body of Christ.
Statement of Faith
- The Bible, inerrant as originally given, is God’s Breathed word, complete revelation to mankind. It is the only authority and rule for faith and practice. Sola Scriptura and Tota Scriptura.
- The Unique Deity of Christ to include the virgin birth, earthly miracles, sinless life, substitutionary death on the cross, bodily resurrection, ascension, and literal second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- The Trinity & the Unity of God. There is one God, who is infinitely holy and perfect, existing eternally in three Persons of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
- The Holy Spirit is the Divine Person sent to indwell, guide, empower and sanctify the believer, and thus to bear witness of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- The true Church consists of all those who trust in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ as the sole and sufficient means for obtaining forgiveness of their sins and eternal life with God. Those who so trust in Jesus Christ, are redeemed through His blood and are born again of the Holy Spirit.
- There will be a resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the first to everlasting life and the second to everlasting punishment.
